Build you own car!
DIY kits are available as a fun and affordable project car - that you will actually finish! Estimate 200 hours for the build time.
The chassis we offer can be outfitted with variety of power sources. The most common is the 1.8L Miata - naturally aspirated, or forced induction. Honda K20 and K24 are also great candidates for the car, providing more than adequate power in the stock form. Bike engine builds are also available, for those looking for a track focused screamer!
These kits will require parts from an NB Mazda Miata (98 to 05). The kits require the following components:
Engine & Auxiliaries, Coolant Piping, Air Flow Meter and intake pipe work, Exhaust Manifold.
Front and rear knuckles / hubs / calipers, Handbrake and cable.
Wiring loom / Fuse block / immobilizer / Instrument cluster/ Hazard / Horn / Dimmer Buttons / Lighter.
Lower ball joints, Steering arms, Complete steering column assembly.
Fuel pump and bracket, fuel filter and bracket.
Truly bolt together, no welding! Basic hand tools are all that you need. If you are considering this as a self build project, you probably have everything you need already.
An angle grinder, hole saws, and a bandfile sander are recommended for the bodywork modifications.
We are registered as a low volume replica vehicle manufacturer in the US. Once completed, we will assign a legal NHTSA VIN to the vehicle. Your build will be documented, and pictures sent as requested. MSO / MCO will be provided with the car. Should we build the car for you, it will be registered as a replica - not a kit car, which makes registration far easier in many states.
Less than 2 months is the typical turn around for the cars once the kit and donor are on site. This can vary depending on the complexity of the build, but is a good estimation.
